Taekwang Industrial Co., Ltd has developed high technology of PAN-based “CARBON FIBER” production by its own unique technology.
We have started to operate commercial plant in March 2012 with annual capacity of 3,000 tons precursor and 1,500 tons carbon fiber. Taekwang's strength is having optimized inner environment that equipped with vertical integration (i.e. propylene – acrylonitrile – precursor) and acrylic fiber production technology.
Carbon fiber is a newly-developed material that satisfies energy savings from making lighter materials. So the demand is expected growing in aerospace, automotive, ship-building and other industries.
